ListIt Terms and Conditions
Applies to the ListIt customer app and the ListIt Helper app (together, “ListIt”, “we”, “us”, “the platform”).
By creating an account or using ListIt, you agree to these Terms and Conditions and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the apps.
1. What ListIt Is
ListIt is a platform that connects customers who need short, in-person help with tasks (errands, pickups, small chores, and similar) to independent helpers nearby who are willing to do that task for a fee. ListIt is not a party to the task itself — we provide the app, matching, in-app communication, live location sharing during a task, and payment processing between customers and helpers.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use ListIt, on either app.
- You must sign in with a real phone number you control, verified by a one-time SMS code. One account per phone number.
- Helpers must complete the signup profile (name, address, and payout details) and be approved by ListIt before accepting tasks. Approval is at ListIt's discretion, and can be revoked.
- You are responsible for keeping your account, device, and OTP access secure, and for all activity under your account.
3. Helpers Are Independent, Not Employees
Helpers are independent providers, not employees, agents, or partners of ListIt. A helper sets their own availability and decides which tasks to accept. ListIt does not direct, supervise, or guarantee the manner in which a helper performs a task. Nothing in these Terms creates an employment, agency, joint-venture, or franchise relationship between ListIt and any helper or customer.
4. Requesting and Accepting a Task
- A customer describes the task, sets a location, and chooses a time-based plan. A task is offered to nearby available helpers; the first helper to accept is matched to it.
- Once matched, the customer and helper can message and call each other (calls are routed through a masked number — neither party's real number is shown to the other) and see each other's live location for the duration of the task.
- Either party can cancel before a helper starts work. Once a helper has started, cancelling may still result in charges for time already spent, as shown in the app.
5. Payment for the Task Itself
- Pricing (by plan, and per extra minute beyond a plan's included time) is shown in the app before you request a task, and is not negotiated in chat.
- Payment for the task itself is collected from the customer only after the task is marked complete — either by the customer, or by the helper entering a one-time code the customer gives them at the end of the task. There is no upfront charge or hold when a task is requested.
- Payments are processed by Razorpay. ListIt does not store your card, UPI, or bank details.
- A completed task is paid for in full. If a customer does not complete payment after a task is finished, ListIt may restrict that account's ability to request further tasks until the outstanding amount is settled.
- Helper payouts are released to the helper's linked payout account after a customer's payment is captured, less ListIt's platform fee. The fee split is not itemised to either party in the app; it is a flat platform commission taken from the total the customer pays.
6. Vendor Purchases (Bills Shared in Chat)
If a task involves the helper buying something on the customer's behalf (for example, groceries or supplies), that purchase is not processed by ListIt. The helper shares a photo of the vendor's bill and a photo of the vendor's own payment QR code in the task chat, and the customer pays the vendor directly with their own UPI or payment app. ListIt is only the messenger for those photos — we do not see, hold, process, or guarantee that payment, and it is not covered by Razorpay's buyer protections or by section 5 above. Customers should confirm the amount and the vendor's identity before paying. Disputes about a vendor purchase are between the customer, the helper, and the vendor; contact us if you believe a helper acted fraudulently and we will investigate and may suspend their account.
7. Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use ListIt for anything illegal, unsafe, or for a task that requires a license ListIt does not verify (for example, medical, legal, or licensed trade work).
- Harass, threaten, or discriminate against another user, or attempt to contact a matched user outside the app to route around ListIt's fees once a task is underway.
- Provide false identity, location, phone, payout, or payment information.
- Attempt to interfere with, reverse-engineer, or abuse the apps, the matching system, or the payment flow.
We may warn, suspend, or permanently remove any account that violates these Terms, at our discretion, with or without notice depending on severity.
8. Ratings and Reviews
Customers may rate a completed task. Ratings are used to maintain quality on the platform and may affect a helper's ability to receive future task offers.
9. Disclaimers
ListIt provides a platform for connecting customers and helpers; we do not perform tasks ourselves and do not guarantee a helper's work, timeliness, or conduct, or a customer's payment. Tasks happen in person, between two people who arrange to meet — use ordinary personal-safety judgment, as you would with any in-person service arranged online. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ListIt is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the apps or from a task carried out between a customer and a helper.
10. Account Suspension and Termination
You may stop using ListIt and request deletion of your account at any time — see the in-app account deletion option, our dedicated account deletion page, or our Privacy Policy for details. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms, poses a safety risk to other users, or is used fraudulently, including withholding a pending payout while we investigate a genuine dispute.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as ListIt's features change. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date at the top of this page; continued use of the apps after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of ListIt is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts having competent authority over the location of our business entity.
